This Privacy Policy explains how AtlasCodeLab ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Receiptly mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve the App:

Account information: email address and password (hashed) when you register
Receipt data: photos of receipts you scan, and extracted data (merchant, amount, date, category)
Financial data: expense records, budgets, and savings goals you create
Device information: device token for push notifications, platform (iOS/Android)
Usage data: app interactions collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the App
Subscription data: purchase receipts and subscription status via Google Play or App Store

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide core features: receipt scanning, expense tracking, budgets, and analytics
To send push notifications for budget alerts and spending reminders (only if you grant permission)
To verify in-app purchases and manage your subscription
To improve the App through anonymized usage analytics
To respond to support requests

3. AI Processing

Receipt images and financial data are processed using Anthropic's Claude AI to extract expense information. Data sent to Anthropic is used solely to provide the extraction service and is not used to train AI models. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy for more details.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Receipt images are stored in encrypted storage. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, JWT authentication, and hashed passwords. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Firebase (Google) — Analytics and push notifications
Google AdMob — Advertising (free tier users)
Google Play Billing — Subscription management
Anthropic Claude — AI receipt extraction

6. Advertising

Free tier users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use the Advertising ID on your device to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at atlascodelab@gmail.com. Account deletion is processed immediately and is irreversible.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at atlascodelab@gmail.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
